Introducing Monday Mornings: Understanding the new world of work, beyond the 9-5.

Welcome to Monday Mornings, a fortnightly newsletter exploring the “Post 9-5” working world. Subscribe for in-depth analysis and interviews on navigating the shift to mass entrepreneurialism.

Why am I starting this?

The future of work is already here: more people than ever are working independently, juggling multiple income streams, or launching their own ventures. Knowledge workers are abandoning the once-stable 9-5 path in droves amidst economic and technological changes.

Its benefits are plentiful (autonomy, flexibility, fulfilment) - but so are its pitfalls (income insecurity, lack of safety nets and high stress). I want to explore these paradoxes, as well as the platforms, innovations and policies shaping this transformation. I want to be a critical friend to those leading this change and a source of insight for those getting to grips with it. In other words, I want to examine the good, the bad, and the ugly of mass entrepreneurialism.

I’ll seek out the builders, thinkers, and leaders in this space. And I’ll explore what needs to change to build a future of work that works.

What to expect?

Monday Mornings subscribers will get two emails in their inbox each month, always delivered on Monday Mornings (of course!).

Grab your coffee and expect….

  • In-depth “briefings” digging into a specific theme around the future of work.
What does retirement mean in the post 9-5 world? Which investors are backing startups in this space? These briefings are deeply researched and concise memos so you can plot your next career move or speak with authority in your upcoming meeting.

And

  • Q&A interviews with a builder, leader or thinker in the future of work.
We’ve got some big names lined up from tech to academia. These exclusive interviews are designed to bring you a broad range of perspectives and grant you access to the best minds in the space.

Each edition will also consolidate the fortnight’s most important news and offer a curation of the best posts and musings.

You’ll want to set aside 15 minutes or so for each edition. This is a well researched and objective newsletter – you’ll finish each post smarter, more informed, and better equipped for the post 9-5 future we find ourselves in.
